Please login to your EDN account and vote for one or both of my new DataSnap 2010 reports. First of all, if you're concerned about DataSnap 2010 security, please vote for the feature request QC #81335 to add HTTPS / SSL support to DataSnap clients.
Second, if you're concerned about DataSnap filters and performance, then feel free to vote for my report QC #81333 about that particular issue.

Bob Swart 10/02/08 16:19:18I've "heard" that the performance issue was located (as well as a problem which causes a client to hang sometimes), and a fix is hopefully forthcoming soon...
Billyb 10/04/06 20:24:50I have voted and also sent a number of emails asking for status update. It appears that Embarcadero is not acknowledging (At least to our company) that a fix is in the works. I am just getting the run-around. With filters being such a visible high profile feature of DataSnap, you would think this would get high priority???. Hard to believe that the feature was released given that any filter (Even a do nothing pass-thru) degrades throughput 200-400%.
Bob Swart 10/04/14 10:44:48Unfortunately, the datasnap 2010 filter performance issue is NOT solved by the RAD Studio 2010 HotFix #2 at http://www.andreanolanusse.com/blogen/rad-studio-2010-hotfix-2-available/
